Hiking

The area from Günzburg to Schwenningen is one of the largest connected alluvial forests in Germany. On the premium hiking trail DonAuwald, nature and hiking enthusiasts will experienceimpressive landscapes over some 60 kilometres.

The starting point for the first of five stages hiking trail is the train station in Günzburg. From there, the route runs through the historic public “Bürgerpark” in Reisensburg. After that, you can see the amazing Danube River from the "Reisensburg Bridge", and then you will dive soon into the Danube forest. The scenic path leads past romantic lakes, trenches and microclimates toward Offingen. The first stage is a circular Walk through the “Danube cliffs” Günzburg- Offingen - Günzburg.
